The Illusion of Beyond
How could they be sure of the infernos of Hell or the bliss of Heavens?
For I do not ride the same thoughts—for I question, for I dare.
What if the burdens borne in flesh weigh heavier than the shackles of Hell?
What if the moments of bliss in life are far sweeter than Heaven’s embrace?
Yes, I dare to question—thy promises of the end—
For I have befriended both darkness and light.
They have spilled their sacred secrets,
Oaths whispered to demons and angels alike.
Thus, I command all souls—
Be as informed as I, the keeper of these forbidden truths.
For what I know is unknown even to the known.
The heavens may glisten with promise,
The abyss may roar with dread,
Yet no agony burns fiercer than the guilt of the living,
No paradise shines brighter than joy found within.
So fear not the unseen gates, nor tremble at the unseen flames,
For the true Eden and inferno dwell within us—
Here, in the realm of the breathing.
